Daytime screening or “Day Screen” features classic and familiar favorites that change daily and can be enjoyed while engaging in other activities. This year, just for 7 days on the weekends, events that further elevate the “Nagara Cinema” experience will be held. Movies will be shown with themes that change daily, such as “scream,” “dance” and “sing,” to offer viewers an immersive experience.
*Movie showtimes are to be announced at the end of September.

This year, the eighth year of the festival, a pet area will appear on the large staircase of Hibiya Step Square, the main venue, for one day only. Enjoy a movie moment together with your precious pets!

＜Requests when attending a showing with your pets＞

・Please be sure to keep them on a lead or hold them during the showing.
(You can also bring a pet carrier or pet stroller). ・Please refrain from leaving your pets unattended, e.g. tying them up. ・Pet toilet mats will be available for rental, but owners are responsible for the disposal of waste matter. ・Please also be considerate of customers who are not accompanied by pets. ・We will not be liable for accidents or trouble relating to pets.
*Please refrain from bringing pets inside the Tokyo Midtown Hibiya premises (including the inside of shops and the terrace) or the car park. When using the car park, please drop them off at the 1F porch before putting your car into the car park. *Guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs are exempt from the above restrictions, so they may accompany you inside the premises.

What is the Short Shorts Film Festival?

The American Short Shorts Film Festival was set up in 1999. In 2004, it was recognized as an American Academy Awards® accredited festival, and has now gained the right to nominate up to five movies for the short films category of the following year’s Oscars: the winners of the Best Short Award in Live Action Competition (International, Asia International, Japan) , Animation Competition and the Non-fiction Competition. As one of the biggest international short film festivals in Asia, it supports the world’s young creative talents to broadcast their works to the world.
