Each film is only 10 or 15 minutes long, but offers an exciting lineup that includes award-winning works from the international short film festival "Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia". Even if you don't have time to watch a long movie leisurely, you can enjoy the world of short films while enjoying lunch.

What is Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2023 Autumn International Short Film Festival?

The Autumn International Short Film Festival, a collaboration with Tokyo International Film Festival, was held at Tokyo Photographic Art Museum from October 19th to 22nd, and online from September 28th to October 27th. About 200 films were screened, with 5,215 entries from 120 countries and regions. The festival will feature award winning films from various categories, including the Grand Prix winner of George Lucas Award, "The Bridge" (Poland/Japan), which was announced in June. Other award-winning films include "Seen" starring Eita Nagayama, which won the Japan Best Short Award, and "TIGER CAVE" which won the Audience Award and was directed by Mansai Nomura. Including the aforementioned shorts, the best-of-the-best short films of the year will be screened at the festival. ※Official website will open on September 28th, and ticket reservations will start on the same day.

Founded in 1999 as the American Short Shorts Film Festival, the festival was certified as an Academy Award-qualifying film festival in 2004. Currently, the best four films awarded in The Official Competition (International, Asia International, and Japan awards) and the Non-Fiction Award will be eligible for nomination at the annual Academy Awards the following year.
