Flower Dome
Serving as a centerpiece adorned with colorful blooms, the Flower Dome is a participatory sculpture with creative colors produced by an interweaving of plants of different types that can only be achieved with artificial flowers. Entering the 4-meter-tall by 9-meter-wide dome, beautiful flowers surround you on all sides, and a world filled with the spring spirit spreads out before you, as though you have stepped into a work of art. At night, it lights up with magical illumination. These high-quality, eco-friendly flowers add colorful flair to spring in Hibiya Step Plaza.
Fresh and artificial flowers
combine with neon lights
fuse together an otherworldly space!
On the steps at the edge of the plaza, a space appears created by fresh and artificial flowers. The contrast between the sculptures rendered in a diverse array of flowers and the huge, vividly colored neon lights creates a magical scene the likes of which you can only see at this event. The neon sign is lit up at night so that you can enjoy the otherworldly atmosphere of the scene.

Botanical StreetAppreciation for the Everyday
The unobtrusive, ever-present “Everyday Scenery” that provides safety and convenience, like streetlamps, public telephone booths, and benches, plays the leading role. Using artificial flowers to beautifully decorate in gratitude the things we usually take for granted, this area provides a new awareness of them, reaffirming their importance, etc. Enjoy this fusion of ordinary, everyday scenery with flowers.

Mei (Sun and Moon)
Stones which receive the blessings of the sun and form on the surface of the Earth contain a vibrant life force that comes from the warm light of the sun, and they receive the moon’s gentle light and gravity as they grow. This work depicts such natural stones receiving the light of sun and moon, and dancing beautifully, joyfully, and gracefully in Hibiya.

Golden Rose
This chandelier is located in the main lobby on the first floor of the main building, and is named for its resemblance to a rose blossom made of gold. Measuring 190cm tall and 265cm across, it is the symbolic “face” of the Imperial Hotel in the 21st century, and was created in 2001. The design forms the shape of a rose through simple straight lines, and incorporates the desire of its creator, artist Minami Tada (1924 – 2014), that it would “bloom beautifully in the lobby of the Imperial Hotel.”
Reimei (Common name: “Wall of Light”)
Artwork inside the Rendes-Vous Lounge of the main building first floor. Created by Minami Tada when the current main building opened in 1970. It depicts rainbow-colored waves stretching from the shore to the distant horizon, as the golden light of rising sun through the clouds dawns across the world with each passing moment. Constructed of approximately 7,600 crystal glass blocks, the work is roughly 8 meters tall by 25 meters wide, and brings both harmony and beauty to the lobby.
