A rainbow-colored grand staircase brightening up the square!
An illuminated arched gate welcomes visitors to mark the start of the new year and to wish them a pleasant stay. Once you pass through the gate and walk up the red-carpeted stairs, a huge "Welcome HIBIYA" sign, perfect for having your picture taken, will appear right in front of you. The glittering grand staircase is colored in a rainbow gradient that represents the entertainment district of Hibiya, and the display on the upper level is designed to uplift both the visitors’ spirits and their luck. The staircase and display are meant to wish all visitors a warm welcome and an exciting time.

A light show painting the city with colors changing with the season
In Hibiya Nakadori street, adjacent to Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, you can admire some of the sky’s mysterious natural phenomena recreated through decorative lighting. The streets of Hibiya become the stage of a sky show inspired by four phenomena that are rarely seen under ordinary circumstances: "Blue Moment," when the sky is briefly enveloped in a deep, dark blue color; "Aurora Green," inspired by the Northern Lights phenomenon that artistically colors the night sky; "Sunset Gold," when the sun begins to set and turns everything red and gold; and "Pink Belt of Venus," which can be seen before sunrise and just after sunset. Through the entire period, the illuminations will change depending on the season, so you will want to see it again and again.

A luminous stage spreading out in front of you A vibrant and exciting spectacle
The lawn area will be decked out with multicolored decorative lightning to recreate a sparkling stage, and the surrounding area will be illuminated white to evoke the image of a star road racing up to stardom. Decorative lighting expressing the essence of "Hibiya, the entertainment district" will adorn Park View Garden. In the spirit of sustainability, terrace seats too will be decorated with planters incorporating botanical lights, which generate electricity and emit light using the electrons released in soil and water by the microorganisms living in symbiosis with the plants.

Use of LED lights
All luminous decorations feature LED lights that reduce electricity consumption by approximately 40% compared to incandescent bulbs.

The theme of Hibiya Chanter's 2024 Christmas decorations is the "Beautiful Blue Sea." The blue-hued decorative lighting and silver ornaments symbolize the crystal-clear sea while the rings and clear spheres symbolize water bubbles. Enjoy a world dyed in wondrous hues of blue thanks to a production that will give you the illusion of taking a peek into the sea.

Special ornaments and artistic elements to color our 135th anniversary
To celebrate the Imperial Hotel’s upcoming 135th anniversary in 2025, under the theme of a “Always amazing,” the christmas tree in the central lobby will feature blue-hued anniversary ornaments, while crimson roses will welcome guests in the center of the lobby. The main entrance will be lit with anniversary decorative elements and jewel balls, bathing the entire area in a warm and shiny golden light.

The main entrance will be lit with 135th anniversary decorative elements and jewel balls, enveloping the entire area in gold and shining warm light.
Envelope yourself in the warm light of the full moon and the night market
The Xmas Design Market, a regular event at Hibiya Park, will be held at the HIBIYA PARK TERRACE. It will feature hand-made items by skilled craftsmen that will make perfect gifts. As part of the Exchanging Memories special event, visitors will be given the chance to experience the joy of bringing and exchanging their memorable items with others. An eco-friendly Christmas tree and a guided stargazing session will brighten up the city night.
