There will be a collaboration with the movie Lupin the Third: The First, which will be the series’ first feature animation in 23 years, to be released on December 6 (Fri.). Visitors will be able to experience the world within Lupin the Third: The First on a giant screen in the square and at two other venues. This is a wholly participative event in which you can meet the characters that will pop out from a giant screen into the town, as well as two types of photobooth in which you can take a picture that makes it look as if you are part of the film. You can also bring the picture back home with you and share it with your friends on social media.

The Toronto Japanese Film Festival celebrated its 8th anniversary this year. The latest films that showed in the largest Japanese film festival in North America will be shown on our giant screen with English subtitles. There will also be special guests visiting during the festival. Enjoy watching films in an open-air space with a pleasant night breeze, rather than in a closed quiet room as audiences usually do.
A “relaxation area” will be set up at the venue, and deckchairs will be rented out (500 yen).
*On a first-come-first-served basis, limited to 40 people. Enjoy quality movie experiences while relaxing beneath the night sky of the city center.

As one of the venues for the 32nd Tokyo International Film Festival, the largest international film festival in Asia, an outdoor screening free of charge has come again this year to Hibiya, well known as “the town of films and theatre”. At Tokyo Midtown Hibiya Step Square, a giant screen with a high-quality sound system and large high-resolution outdoor LED will be set up. Every event during the festival is free of charge and you will be sure to enjoy the very best movie experiences.
